The morning comes,
and off you go-
A brand new day.
Like new-fallen snow
In flawless perfection,
It stretches before you
in every direction.
No previous footsteps
blemish the view -
it sparkles with promise,
just waiting for you.
With no path to follow
the choices are vast-
Go where your heart leads you,
except to the past.
Don’t linger behind
in what’s happened before.
Tomorrow’s ahead
through Today’s open door.
So look to the future,
and make your own way.
There’s nothing to stop you,
for it’s a new day.
