“The Unicorn”
The unicorn of mystic days-
of long ago and far away-
haunts in dreams of memories past,
reminding that now cannot last.
Serving to show that magic dust,
when used in present, turns to rust.
Extinction comes when dreams desist-
when lures of modern ways persist.
So hold on tight to old beliefs,
of innocence marching time is thief.
Cherish dreams that are magic-borne,
lest you forget the Unicorn…
