Deviation Actions
If I were to make a new year's resolution, (which I usually don't), it'd be to for me to be more active on dA! I realized I haven't posted any new deviations in years!!! So I'm rectifying that!! I have done some hiking and exploring around where I live and taken a LOT of photos. I haven't written anything new in a while, though, but I'm going to try and change that as well.
In other news, I introduced my youngest child, my 17 year old son, Jason, to dA and he's been submitting his photos for all to see. I think he has a great eye and I hope y'all will be kind to him. LOL He's posted a question in his journal that maybe one of you can answer? It'd be much appreciated!!

Breaking The Block
When I was younger my favorite subject in school was Creative Writing. I loved making rhymes. Sonnets, Villenelles, Pantoums... structured poetry was the love of my life. For a while the words flowed easily... I could stare at a piece of paper, blink, and a poem (or two!) would magically appear. I loved that! But these days it seems I struggle to even come up with an opening line, and I don't know if it's too many distractions- kids, work, Facebook, new phones, etc.- or if my brain just isn't up to par as I've gotten older. Wait...what?!??! It's almost the end of 2013!!! A lot's happened since January. Let's see...
I was let go from my job at the therapy place. She wasn't busy enough to keep me on, she says. That job ended June 14.
June 17 I started my new and current job at the local Swimplex here in town. I love it. It's still front desk work, which is SO totally me. The pay is less (which sucks) but I DO get benefits through the city (I am a city employee... WOOHOO)

I'm a bad, bad girl...
It's been one year since my last journal entry. :wow: I wrote a "thank you for the birthday wishes" then, and I'm repeating my sentiments again. So much as happened in a year!
I finally found a full-time job, Mon-Fri 8-5, so I'm way busier than I've been in years. I'm grateful for the income, but I'm so tired at the end of the day! LOL Getting old is not for sissies, lemme tell ya. I'm adjusting to having to stay awake all day and not take lazy just-because-I-can naps. By 10:00pm I'm usually lights out (if not, I'm WAY sorry in the morning!). I am the receptionist for a local physical therapy place. I like the
